Corey Taylor has shared his thoughts on the recent Dave Grohl scandal, which saw the Foo Fighters frontman cop to cheating on his wife and fathering a child to another woman.
Fans online have voiced their disappointment in Grohl, as if he’s somehow betrayed us all by behaving in a way unbefitting of his long-time “nicest guy in rock n roll” rep. But in a recent interview, CT has reminded us that Dave Grohl, at the end of the day, is human.

Appearing on the Your Mom’s House podcast, hosted by comedian Tom Segura and his wife and fellow comedian Christina Pazsitzky, the Slipknot frontman praised Grohl for taking ownership for his mistakes.
“I’ll tell you exactly why they put out a press release — it’s because he wanted to get ahead of it… He knew that if he didn’t say something, somebody else was going to say something,” Taylor explained.
While acknowledging the situation was “messy” calling Grohl’s infidelity “irresponsible”, CT went on: “I have to remind people that we’re not perfect”.
He continued: “I’m gonna say something very controversial. This happening does not mean he’s not a nice person, because I happen to know him as a person. It means he’s got fucking issues and he fucked up [and] he’s not perfect. It is going to be very difficult for his family.”

Meanwhile, Corey Taylor will be back down under early next year with Slipknot to headline Knotfest 2025.
