Corey Taylor’s Cover of Radiohead’s ‘Creep’ At Ozzfest Japan Is So Fucking Special

Corey Taylor has taken a break from laying the smackdown on pro-wrestlers and making cameos on Dr. Who to prove once and for all that Radiohead isn’t just for second year Arts hipsters.

The Slipknot frontman honoured Thom Yorke & co. with a rendition of their hit, Creep, live at Ozzfest Japan.

The metal maestro was at the heavy festival performing as a solo acoustic act, but joined Japanese natives Silence iz Mine (SiM) onstage for a duet of the iconic ’90s outsider’s anthem.

Taylor leant his lower, croonier Stone Sour tones to the Radiohead cover, running point on some verses and laying some low harmonies in the chorus under SiM frontman MAH’s main vocals.

Overall it’s pretty fucking special.

Ozzfest Japan was originally planned to be headlined by Black Sabbath, but the heavy metal lords’ appearance there was canned earlier this year.

Meantime, Corey Taylor’s main non-Slipknot project Stone Sour have just released a cover of their very own… a rendition of The Rolling Stones’ classic Gimme Shelter with Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale, off their forthcoming covers EP.
