Cowboy Junkies Announce 2025 Australian Tour

Cowboy Junkies have announced their return to Australia in November 2025, as part of a world tour celebrating the band’s 40th anniversary. The Canadian folk-rock quartet – founded by the Timmins siblings Margot (vocals), Michael (guitar) and Peter (drums) – will play six dates across the country in November 2025. “We had such a great time on our 2023 Australia and New Zealand tour, and we’re thrilled to announce we’re coming back this year,” the band shared in a press statement. “We’re looking forward to sharing some special career-spanning shows to celebrate 40 years on the road. Can’t wait to see you there.” Indeed, the band’s Australian tour will be preceded by a four-date run in New Zealand, with dates in Auckland, Wellington, Palmerston North and Christchurch. Cowboy Junkies – ‘A Common Disaster’

Cowboy Junkies formed out of Toronto in 1985, and released their debut album Whites Off Earth Now!! the following year. They have released 20 studio albums in total – the most recent of which, Such Ferocious Beauty, was released in June 2023. The band have also cracked the top 10 of the Canadian singles chart twice: With ‘Anniversary Song’ in 1994, and ‘Angel Mine’ in 1996.

  • Sunday, November 23rd – Palais Theatre, Melbourne VIC

A pre-sale for the tour will run from 11am local time on Wednesday, April 30th. General sale will then follow on Thursday, May 1st – again at 11am local time. Both can be accessed via DRW Presents.
