Toronto duo Crystal Castles will commence their Australian tour next week, and are pleased to announce that their headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne have completely sold out.
Crystal Castles will play Billboard in Melbourne on Wednesday 4 February (sold out), The Met in Brisbane on Friday 6 February, the Metro Theatre in Sydney on Monday 9 February (sold out), and The Capitol in Perth on Wednesday 11 February. Supporting Crystal Castles on this tour is local Brisbane duo DZ.
Crystal Castles will also perform at the Playground Weekender Festival in NSW on Saturday 7 February.
Following their first Australian tour in 2007, including sold out shows across the country and a stellar performance at the Meredith Music Festival, Crystal Castles are excited to return to Australian shores next week.
Since forming in 2004, the Toronto-based duo of Ethan Fawn and Alice Glass has amassed a cult following with their uncompromising and intense delivery, a slew of limited edition singles, and electrifying live performances. Over this time the band has toured extensively in the UK, Europe and North America, and also remixed tracks for the likes of Bloc Party and the Klaxons, amongst others.
Following the release of several 7″ singles and their self-titled debut album in early 2008, front woman Alice Glass recently topped the NME ‘Cool List’ of 2008, trumping Jay Z, Andrew VanWyngarden of MGMT, Caleb Followill of Kings of Leon, M.I.A. and Ladyhawke.
Don’t miss Crystal Castles tearing up the stage at a venue near you next week!
