We’re just a few days away from Crystal Fighters‘ first Splendour In The Grass sideshow and now we have the names of the support acts to make it even more enticing.
The UK band have recruited different Aussie acts for both Sydney and Melbourne, picking some of the best local talent in each of the cities.
In Sydney, Lupa J will warm up the stage for the band with her dark brand of electro-pop. The young artist has just released her debut EP My Right Name and so she has a swag of new tracks just ready to be unleashed on new audiences.
In Melbourne, it will be GL playing support. The nostalgic pop duo have also just dropped a new release in the form of their debut album Touch. It’s a perky, charismatic listen that will have crowds bopping long before Crystal Fighters have taken to the stage.
Crystal Fighters are due to play in Melbourne this Wednesday, 20th July before heading to Byron Bay for Splendour In The Grass this weekend. They will then play Sydney on Sunday, 24th July.
These are the first shows the English outfit have played in the country since 2014. It’s also their first trip since they tragically lost their drummer Andrea Marongiu due to an unknown heart condition.
