Iconic artists Cyndi Lauper and Blondie have announced they’re touring Australia together in 2017.
The pop legend and Debbie Harry-fronted band are joining forces to co-headline arena shows in Sydney and Melbourne and also play A Day On The Green winery shows.
While Blondie got their break in the ’70s and Lauper in the ’80s, both artists have had long careers and are still releasing music today. Blondie dropped their last record Panic Of Girls in 2011 and Lauper released a country music record Detour earlier this year. Blondie are also teasing the release of an album in March next year, just before their Australian tour.
On top of new tunes, they both have decades worth of hits to get through to, with both artists clocking up record sales well into the millions throughout their careers.
Sydney rock legends The Clouds will join them on their A Day On The Green shows as will newcomers Montaigne and Alex Lahey.
