Back in 2009 when Dananananaykroyd last toured Australia for Splendour in The Grass their tour was cut short due to an unfortunate accident onstage. Drummer/vocalist John Baillie Jnr had a heavy fall on the third song into the set, breaking his arm, thus the remainder of their set in Sydney and their show in Melbourne the following night were both cancelled. Baillie has said that one day he wanted to return to the venue in Sydney and continue the show from the floor where he fell and from the point in the set where it was cut short.
On Friday 29th July he’ll get the chance to do just that with their show at Annandale Hotel.
Music Feeds was at that last Annandale gig so you can check out footage from the performance and an interview with the band below.
Dananananaykroyd are also playing at Splendour in the Grass and at East Brunswick Club, Melbourne on Mon 1st August.
There Is A Way is the new album due on June 13th 2011 through the band’s own label Pizza College.
