Daniel Johns, Dune Rats & More Star In Trailer For These New South Whales’ New Mockumentary Series

Local troublemakers These New South Whales are about to deliver season two of their hilarious mockumentary series, complete with a pretty stellar cast.

Dubbed a ‘punkumentary’, the boys have stepped it up for season two, signing with Comedy Central, which is home to shows like Broad City and South Park.

The first season saw the band attempt to crack the Sydney music scene, but in season two they’re touring around the country in a swanky double-decker bus.

Along the way they’re joined by special guests Jimmy Barnes, Daniel Johns, Dune Rats, triple j‘s Linda Marigliano and The Cure’s Roger O’Donnell, who is also an executive producer alongside Summer Heights High‘s Laura Waters and Modern Family‘s Jeffrey Walker.

“I love these guys, I love what they do and how they do it, with genuine love and affection for probably the most shit business you can imagine, rock and roll,” says O’Donnell.

“When they asked me to be an executive producer on the show I was totally blown away and have loved every minute of seeing them bring this thing to fruition. Comedy genius (they paid me to say that).”

These New South Whales have given us a sneak peak of the new series with a fresh trailer in which they get slapped by Daniel Johns, attempt to extort triple j and introduce us to their Elvis impersonator manager.

Season two is set to debut over at Comedy Central on Wednesday, 9th May. If you need to catch up, you can also watch the first season there too.
