Daniel Johns has posted a rather cryptic message to his social media today, stating that he’ll be making an announcement next Wednesday, 8th December.
In the post to social media, accompanied by a photo of himself, the caption reads “I’ll tell you about the future”, followed by next Wednesday’s date.
It’s unsure what exactly he will be announcing, but fingers crossed we’ll become privy to some new music.

More recently, Johns launched his original Spotify podcast, Who Is Daniel Johns? The five-part series heard Johns telling his story with no filter, and is available to listen to on-demand via the streaming service.
He also released a run of bonus episodes featuring conversations with other prominent creatives, including Billy Corgan, Tom Delonge, Kevin Parker, Natalie Imbruglia and more.
Last month in an interview with The Project, he reiterated that there was no possibility of Silverchair ever reuniting.
“I honestly don’t think you ever will”, he said when asked by the show’s hosts about the possibility of seeing him live on stage again.
“There’s so much music coming and I’m really proud of it. You don’t need to see it live – just listen.”
