There was a BIG horse-shaped surprise on the just-revealed Falls Festival lineup for 2017/2018 — the inclusion of none other than Daryl ‘The Horses’ Braithwaite, whose spot on the bill has sent festival-goers and horse-lovers into a frenzy.
While some initially thought Braithwaite’s spot on the huge new Falls roster may have been a stitch-up, Music Feeds can confirm it’s 100 per cent legit, and the fact that it’s actually happening is proving to be both exciting and kinda hilarious…
They actually got Daryl Braithwaite for Falls fest 😂

There’s even been a call for Daryl and Dune Rats to team up at Falls, for what would surely be the most raucous cover of ‘The Horses’ to date.
(Also, would they be ‘Daryl Rats’, or ‘Dune Braithwaite’?)
You reckon you could get Daryl Braithwaite to come out on a horse an sing with you? Cause the would be epic #makeithappen

Braithwaite’s Falls Festival slot has also copped a few more negative reactions, because, well…
Daryl Braithwaite announced for Falls. FFS it's gone too far.

In a statement to Music Feeds, Braithwaite says, “I am very excited and very much looking forward to doing the Falls gigs with all the other acts, it’s a little surreal to say the least.”
Whether or not a Dune Rats and Braithwaite collab actually happens, it’s safe to say that this year’s Falls crowd will be off its chops when ‘The Horses’ finally comes to town. Peep the rest of this year’s Falls Festival lineup right here.
Daryl Braithwaite is also set to tour Australia with John Farnham in 2018, so there’s plenty of him to go around.
