Written by Emmy Mack on August 22, 2017

Y’all ready for this? Falls Festival has just lifted the lid on its 25th anniversary lineup, and fkn HELL you should probably sit down.

Joining previously announced international guest Liam Gallagher on the lineup for this year’s summer bash are Flume and Glass Animals (in Falls exclusive appearances), plus Angus & Julia Stone and international heavyweights Fleet Foxes, Run The Jewels, The Kooks, Vince Staples, D.R.A.M., Everything Everything and Foster The People.

There’s also a whooooole bunch of local faves including Peking Duk, Dune Rats, The Smith Street Band, Allday, The Jungle Giants, Thundamentals, Julia Jacklin, Alex Lahey, Confidence Man and loads more, including… wait for it…

This year’s Falls Festival will happen in the usual spots of NSW’s Byron Bay and Tassie’s Marion Bay, WA’s Fremantle (although Falls Downtown will move from Kings Square to the Fremantle Oval Precinct) and Victoria’s Lorne, despite the festival being hit with a class action lawsuit after a horrific stampede incident led to dozens of people being injured at the festival site last time around.

On top of the massive multi-genre live music roster, this year’s festival will also be packing the usual bonus bits and pieces, from modern camping facilities to makers’ markets, visual arts, performances, creative installations, beach access, pop-up bars and beer gardens, food trucks and restaurants, holistic and wellbeing services, local traders, interactive games and more.

However, one thing to note this year is that Falls bars are doing away with drink tokens, and will now be cash and pay-wave enabled. Cheers to that!

As always, each location will also have a slightly different lineups, with stacks more acts still to be announced for each. But you can check out the full first announcement, plus all the important Falls dates, below.
