Daughter To Step Things Up With Debut Album ‘If You Leave’

London-based trio Daughter have announced that they will be taking the very legitimising step of releasing their debut full-length album. If You Leave will be out Friday, 18th March through 4AD / Remote Control.

The group took their time with the release, clearly being meticulous with their inaugural LP effort, and used several months to write the album, as well as several locations across London. Guitarist Igor Haefeli was 1.I.C in the production booth with additional help from Rodaidh McDonald (The xx, Adele) and Jolyon Vaughan Thomas (Maps). The dream line-up of extras goes on with Ken Thomas (Sigur Ros, M83) elected to mix.

For a band who are pretty fresh to the game, the album draws on some real shit as it delves deep into the lives and psyche of the band, with singer Elena Tonra taking us on a rollercoaster journey through her innermost thoughts.

The full tracklist and album art are below. Be sure to keep an ear open for the first single off the record; Still, which is on radio now.
