Download Festival has just unmasked the second headliner for next year’s flagship UK event as the great Avenged Sevenfold.
The heavy metal titans join Prince Of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne as the first two acts on the lineup for next year’s juggernaut Donington Park riff-fest, after also being announced on the Madrid leg of the festival, yesterday.
It comes as the official countdown clock for Download Australia’s official debut lineup announcement ticks down to T-minus 13 hours and counting, which means we only have to wait til 9am AEDT tomorrow to find out if A7X will make it a Download 2018 hat-trick and feature on the down under bill as well.
That’s right. It’s the Final Countdown.
Music Feeds already understands that Korn, Limp Bizkit, Prophets Of Rage and NOFX will play the inaugural Aussie instalment of fest.
29 huge acts (nine of whom are ‘Strayan) are set to be confirmed on the bill for the rock & metal megafest’s down under debut, which will go down at Melbourne’s Flemington Racecourse on Saturday, 24th March 2018.
ICYMI: Download Festival also has plans to eventually expand across Australia after making its debut in Melbourne next year.
