The 37-year-old rapper recently joined forces with the 31-year-old singer-songwriter to release a new joint album later this year.
On the recent Party and Friends show in Toronto, PartyNextDoor revealed it: “Once summer is over with. Do what you need to do, I know all you girls are outside and when it gets a little chilly, PartyNextDoor and Drake album will be right there for you.” The excitement was electric as Drake performed hits like ‘Sweeterman’, ‘Redemption’, and ‘Wah Gwan Delilah’ during the event.
Drake-‘No Chill’
PartyNextDoor was the very first artist that Drake signed back in 2013 under his OVO Sound record label, which is under Warner Records. It has shown through numerous tracks that the two have been working on over the years that they create magic. This includes ‘Come and See Me’ in 2016, ‘Since Way Back’ in 2017, and ‘LOYAL’ in 2019. Furthermore, there was an appearance by PartyNextDoor on Drake’s highly commended mixtape entitled ‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’, which came out in 2015.
Way back in April, Drake was bragging about PartyNextDoor’s work on ‘PARTYNEXTDOOR 4’. He shared a shot of the single ‘No Chill’ with the caption: “Played this 100000 times before release. Wish they logged my streams.” With that publicized creative bond between the two, this only adds fuel to the fire.
This is the proudest I’ve felt,” PartyNextDoor told Billboard. “I’m excited to grind even more for the next one. I’m in love with how hard you should work for it.” According to him, the only thing that has changed his life and that’s important is dropping music. He’s not worried about fame.
Fans can look forward to a new disc that promises to deliver more of the sound that has made both artists’ careers.
