Daft Punk’s studio debut record Homework was released in 1997 and was a key force in driving the attention of the world to French house music at the time.
The album contained iconic singles including ‘Da Funk’ and ‘Alive’, was widely praised by critics and was also a chart success, and now you could get your hands on one of the band’s most famous instruments used on the album.
The Roland TR-909 drum machine used by Thomas Bangalter on that record is sensationally being auctioned off by Vintage and Analogue Occasion.
But it’s not just the physical collector’s item you’ll be buying. The device also has the presets for Daft Punk’s Homework track ‘Revolution 909’ still programmed into it!
Vintage & Analogue Occasion have decided to sell it to the highest bidder, as “it’s impossible to set a price” on the item.
The announcement of the sale comes just weeks after it was revealed that Daft Punk co-wrote and produced a new song called ‘Overnight’ with Aussie band Parcels.
