Duff McKagan Hints At Live Guns N’ Roses Reunion

Various social media clues have been hinting at a possible live reunion between the former Guns N’ Roses bassist, Duff McKagan and the current incarnation of the band for their upcoming South American tour. McKagan had a twelve-year tenure as the bassist of the hard rock band, before departing in 1997, leaving Axl Rose as its last original member.

As discovered by Loudwire, the first culprit to drop a reunion hint was Guns N’ Roses photographer Kat Benzova, who, in a tweet to Duff’s wife, Susan Holmes McKagan, wrote “See you in a few :)”. While not exactly a smoking gun, that social media clue was followed up by an old photo Mrs. McKagan posted of Duff and Axl Rose together via Instagram.

Finally, Duff McKagan all but confrimed the speculation when he took to his Twitter account to post a picture of a Guns N’ Roses setlist, hinting that he will perform with the band at their April Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia and Brazil shows. “See y’all in the next few weeks, Si? GNR,” reads the caption.

In addition, a source has reported to Loudwire that Buenos Aires radio station Vorterix claimed McKagan would be appearing onstage with Guns N’ Roses on April 6 at Buenos Aires venue Ferro Stadium. If true, McKagan would be filling in for current bassist Tommy Stinson, who is reuniting with his original band, The Replacements, for dates at Coachella in mid-April.

Guns N’ Roses will play a month-long South American tour this year and will debut their 3D concert film, Appetite For Democracy, in theatres worldwide next month in advance of its release in multiple formats.
