Elton John Announces 2015 Australian Tour

Get ready to tell the nearest tiny dancer to hold you closer, as musical legend Elton John has today announced he is bringing his band (and his shiny as all hell sunglasses) down under at the end of the year for a series of arena shows.

The ‘All The Hits’ Tour will hit the capital cities in December with John bringing along his old mate drummer Nigel Olsson, who originally toured with Elton on his 1971 Australian tour. The setlist is said to heavily feature songs from his highly acclaimed album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, which recently celebrated its 40th anniversary, as well as a solid dose of his classics.

“Australia has been one of my favourite countries to tour ever since my first visit there at the start of my world-wide career. Some of my most memorable concerts have taken place in venues all across the continent. The Australian audiences always seem to bring out the best in us, and I am certain there will be many more fantastic evenings when we visit in December,” said Elton John.

The sparkliest musician in the world, along with Cold Chisel, will be one of the final acts to grace the Sydney Qantas Credit Union stage (formerly Sydney Entertainment Centre) on it’s last weekend before getting blowed the hell up, ahead of the Darling Harbour refurbishments.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday 6th May for Visa cardholders, with general public sales up from 10am Monday May 11th, details below.
