The organisers of Future Music Festival 2014 have announced that Swedish house DJ Eric Prydz, best known for his aerobic 2004 crossover hit Call On Me, has had to pull out of his scheduled appearance at FMF 2014 in Perth tonight due to illness. Prydz was set to hit the stage at 6:15pm.
“Much to everyone’s regret…Eric Prydz is unable to perform at today’s FMF in Perth due to illness. Both FMF HQ and Eric’s team are sincerely disappointed, but re-assure fans Eric is looking forward to completing the remainder of his dates across the country,” write organisers in a statement.
In addition to the DJ/producer’s remaining Future Music commitments in Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide, Prydz announced his Pryda Australian tour back in February, which kicked off at Family in Brisbane yesterday and is set to continue at Pacha in Sydney this Saturday, 8th March.
According to organisers, Dutch electro house superstar and DJ Magazine‘s #1 DJ, Hardwell, will extend his set into a “a two-hour epic” in order to fill in for Prydz’s absence. Hardwell will reportedly invite “special FMF guests to join him on stage for a performance you don’t want to miss.”
