Ex-Slipknot Drummer Joey Jordison Resurfaces To Thank Fans For Support

Things have been very quiet in Joey Jordison’s camp. We’ve heard nothing from the drummer regarding his shock departure from Slipknot since a vague message in January last year, but he’s just resurfaced to thank fans for their support over the last year.

Jordison posted to Facebook, taking a moment to thank fans for their recent birthday wishes. “Things have been super busy as of late,” said the former #1, “and I can’t wait for you all to hear what I have coming up. Thanks again for all your continued love and support.”

His now-primary outfit, Scar The Martyr, has also been stirring recently, posting pictures of what looks like recording sessions to their Facebook page, including a shot of the drummer behind the kit (above).

Scar The Martyr are technically without a lead singer, after the group fired previous frontman Henry Derek Bonner in April last year. The group held open auditions for the position but it’s still unclear who the replacement is, or whether they’ve even found one.

Jordison was ousted from Slipknot in December 2013 under mysterious circumstances. The official announcement cited “personal reasons” for the split, and both Jordison and Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor have refused to comment directly on the circumstances surrounding Jordison’s departure.
