Music Feeds is proud to present the premiere of the brand-new video for Bento’s latest single, Words Of Love. Bento is the latest project from Ben Gillies (Silverchair, Tambalane) and Words Of Love is the second single lifted from Bento’s debut album Diamond Days.
The new video shows Ben wearing his heart on his sleeve (and his trousers), painting furiously in between snippets of pastoral imagery and fractured portraits on glass to ultimately reveal the true essence of the song. As he explains, Words Of Love is all about the universal ache of longing for companionship:
“Don’t we all want to find that special person to share our lives with? You miss them even if they’re not in the same room. This is something I’ve always wanted and this song is about finding that person, grabbing hold tightly and never letting her go.”
Gillies talked to Music Feeds late last year about the album and his urge to keep Bento as a project completely apart from his other musical enterprises, as well as the challenges of stepping out from behind the drumkit. He confirmed he’s already got new songs in the works, so you can expect to hear a lot more from Bento in 2013.
