Those charming folks behind the New Year’s Eve extravaganza that is Falls Festival have announced their second lot of artists for the line-up today, giving us the very exciting news that we’ll be seeing one of the greatest guitarists of all time gracing the stage, Johnny Marr.
The ex-The Smiths guitarist and songwriter will be joining the already killer line-up, getting his Falls on on the back of his latest solo effort, The Messenger.
He’ll be joined by triplej and ARIA faves The Rubens, Brissie punks Violent Soho, the laid-back stylins of Philadelphia’s The War On Drugs, indie songstress Emma Louise and indie pop heroes The Hungry Kids Of Hungary. Rounding out the second announcement are Horrorshow, The Paper Kites, Oliver Tank and Thundamentals.
Falls Festival will be taking place in Lorne, Marion Bay, and for the first time, Byron Bay in late December and early January, with tickets going on sale to the general public tomorrow, 4th September, at 9:00am AEST.
