When Falls Festival organisers announced a stack of new additions to its 2016/2017 lineup earlier this month, the event’s new Fremantle location was noticeably absent, but all that has changed.
Now, Falls Festival Downtown has announced that it too has added new acts to its lineup, joining an already-stacked roster featuring the likes of Childish Gambino, London Grammar and The Avalanches.
Heading across to join Falls’s WA main stage are US rapper Kari Faux, local Perth five-piece Mt Mountain and Fremantle-hailing singer-songwriter Elli Schoen. They’ll be joined on the Fremantle lineup by 10 other new additions, including Pilerats DJs, The Community, Fungle Club, Boogie Nights Media, Polyrhythmic and Stoney Joe.
Additionally, there’ll be plenty of other stuff to get around at Falls Fremantle, including Local Laughs and The Big Hoo Haa comedy shows, Bull$*!# Trivia and the Tor-Night Show starring Tor Snyder.
UPDATE 1/12/16: Grouplove have cancelled their entire Australian tour including all Falls Festival shows and sideshows.
