Falls Festival Byron Bay Is Getting Its Own Water Park

If you’ve ever been to Falls Festival in Byron Bay you would know things can get pretty hot (and we’re not just talking about the lineup), so organisers are giving punters exactly what they need – an on-site waterpark.

Aptly named Palm Springs, the water park will feature a double lane 9m tall, 20m long screamer water slide, four large infinity pools, mushroom fountains, life guards and curated tropical party music, bringing the spirit of ’80s Californian resorts to life.

It’s being billed as Australia’s biggest pool party which is exactly how you wanted to celebrate the new year whether you knew it or not.

The water park isn’t the only new addition. Organisers have also announced the ‘Foxtel Movie Marquee’ where you’ll be able to catch a few films and bask in the air conditioning and buttery pop corn.

Basically, if you’re heading to Falls in Byron you can now take ‘the heat’ off your list of things to complain about.

Falls Byron is going to be pretty hard to beat this NYE. In addition to the water park, they have also lined-up some extra acts on NYE with The Wombats, Peking Duk, Wavves, Hilltop Hoods and more set to usher in the new year. That’s on top of the already rad lineup headed by Disclosure, Foals and Bloc Party.
