Sydney’s beloved community station FBi Radio has announced the nominees for the 2018 edition of its annual Sydney Music, Arts & Culture (SMAC) Awards.

Now in its 10th year, the SMAC Awards will again honour the best of Sydney’s music, art and culture scenes, across nine distinct categories.

Music-wise, the likes of Jack River, Phantastic Ferniture and B Wise are up for Record Of The Year, while The Presets, Julia Jacklin, Slim Set, Shady Nasty, Kwame and Kota Banks are all nominated for Best Song.

The likes of Milan Ring, 100 and CLYPSO are up for the Next Big Thing award, while the Best Live Act category features musos like DIN, Dispossessed and Sampa The Great.

See the full list of 2018 nominees, below.

The 2017 SMAC Awards saw local indie-rockers Cloud Control pick up Record Of The Year for their album Zone, while Best Song went to Rainbow Chan‘s ‘Let Me’.

2018 SMAC voting is open to the public, and will close at 5pm Wednesday, 13th February.

Winners will be announced during an invite-only ceremony at Sydney’s Carriageworks (and live on FBi 94.5FM) on Tuesday, 26th February.
