First Act For “Blockbuster” Future Music 2014 Lineup Revealed?

UPDATE: The first Future Music Festival 2014 lineup is here!

Future Music Festival have been getting the ball rolling on the hype for their 2014 lineup this week, labelling next year’s event a “blockbuster”, and now it looks like we might have our first act set for the touring festival as well.

On its official Facebook page this week, the festival have been setting the promo gears in motion and pumping the lineup announcement for Future Music 2014:

“Every year we work hard to up the ante on the lineup we deliver for Future Music Festival in March and I gotta say we are looking good to hit the ball right out of the park when we announce next years blockbuster!!!”

As pointed out by our mates at Stoney Roads yesterday, Iranian/American DJ and producer Ali Shirazinia, better known as Dubfire, could now be set to join the Future roster after a fan on Twitter got him to reveal a planned visit to Australia in March 2014, around the time of Future Music Festival. You can check out their conversation below.

FasterLouder have also noted that influential English glam-pop/rockers Depeche Mode are another possible inclusion, after Harvest/Soundwave promoter AJ Maddah said they’ll return to Australia on their current world tour. Other possible acts include Deadmau5 and Skream.

This year’s Future Music Festival featured acts like Dizzee Rascal, The Prodigy, Bloc Party, The Temper Trap, Azealia Banks and Fun.
