UPDATE 17/12/15 5.50pm: Soundwave 2016 has been officially cancelled.
The rumours, or at least some of them, have been officially confirmed, with Soundwave HQ today unveiling the news that Welsh metal titans Bullet For My Valentine are the first act confirmed to be playing Soundwave 2016.
The news comes as the metal band today unveil their brand new album Venom, along with this week’s reveal of a live performance video for the track, Army of Noise, getting fans prepped for what to expect when the metal titans hit the Soundwave stage.
The 2016 festival will return to a single day format after a brief experiment as a two day event this year. Soundwave will only visit Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in 2016 and will be held in January, much earlier than usual, around the same time the Big Day Out usually takes place.
