Writing on Instagram, twigs described Caprisongs as, “bronzer in the sink, alco pop on the side, a cherry lolly, apple juice when ur thirsty, friends in the park, your favourite person, that one sentence somebody said to you that changed everything, a club pre-game, your bestie who is always late but brings the most to the party, meeting a friend at the airport, just togetherness.”
The 17-song release follows twigs’ 2019 album, Magdalene. The UK artist has released a total of two albums and three EPs up till now, as well as the standalone singles ‘Good to Love’ and ‘Don’t Judge Me’ (feat. Headie One and Fred Again).
In 2020, twigs featured on Ty Dolla $ign’s single ‘Ego Death’ and the track ‘Sum Bout U’ with squeaking viral rapper, 645AR. She also made a guest appearance on The 1975’s Notes On A Conditional Form and the album Slingbaum One from the mysterious artist, Slingbaum.
Caprisongs‘ first single, ‘Tears in the Club’, came out in mid-December. Along with vocals from The Weeknd, the song features production from Cirkut, Arca and El Guincho.
