Long-time Foo Fighters guitarist and solo artist Chris Shiflett will be slotting in a couple of headline show around the band’s upcoming Australian tour dates. Shiflett will play at the Workers Club in Melbourne on Tuesday, 5th December and at The Great Club in Sydney on Thursday, 7th December.
“Touring Australia is always a blast and I’m excited it worked out to schedule these solo acoustic shows between the big ones,” Shiflett said. “Better re-string my J200 and dust off my capo!! I’ll be playing some tunes from my new record, Lost at Sea, as well as my last couple records and a few covers. Might have to learn a couple of Jackson United ones while I’m at it!”

Jackson United is the alt-rock outfit that Shiflett formed in 2003 with brother Scott and drummer Pete Parada. The band released two albums before going on hiatus in 2008. Shiflett’s latest solo album, Lost At Sea, arrived earlier this month. It follows 2019’s Hard Lessons and 2017’s West Coast Town.
Foo Fighters will return to Australia in late November for a run of stadium shows across the country. The band will kick things off in Perth on Wednesday, 29th November, before playing dates in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.
This will be the band’s first Australian tour with new drummer Josh Freese, who replaced Taylor Hawkins after his death in 2022. Frontier Touring recently announced the release of extra tickets for the forthcoming shows.
