Modular and FOR have announced the first round of acts for FOR Festival 2014, a four-day festival experience taking place on the island of Hvar in Croatia this June. This year’s clash-free roster includes Darkside, Klaxons, Mark Ronson, Erol Alkan, and more playing across multiple venues.
FOR launched in 2013 with a bill that included James Blake, Solange, Tame Impala, and James Murphy as an alternative to the current festival landscape. FOR operates as a music festival inside of an island vacation, with a schedule that allows for boating, winery visits and plenty of beach time.
Taking place among the idyllic surrounds of the ancient island of Hvar, FOR was named “One of the 10 Best European Summer Festivals of 2013” by Forbes for the unique VIP experience it offers its patrons, who by day can swim in the azure Mediterranean waters and enjoy music in the evening.
The musical programming whisks attendees from the outdoor beach bar events to premiere live music venues located on the island for performances from a quality roster. Afterwards, late night parties on a private island will feature some of the best and most innovative names in EDM.
Tickets are limited, with only 2500 released for this special four-day experience. Weekend passes, which offer entry into live performances and all-night beach parties, are priced at €220 (AU$335.78) + booking fee and will be available to purchase from the official FOR Festival website.
