Frank Carter has been involved in a car accident that’s left his kneecap “in the wrong position” among numerous other injuries.
Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes have postponed their forthcoming tour of North America as a result.
Consequence Of Sound reports the accident took place on Thursday, September 19 in Devon, England, with Carter issuing a statement to reveal the “serious” nature of the accident.
The band’s ‘Monster Energy Outbreak Tour’ was scheduled to being in New York this week.
“On Thursday night at 7:20pm I was involved in a serious car accident in Devon, UK. I crawled out of the wreck with some cuts and scrapes, a kneecap in the wrong place, bruised ribs and a headache that won’t go away,” said Carter in his statement.
He went on to reveal that his friend Pete ended up worse off, suffering a fractured pelvis, ruptured spleen and multiple broken ribs.
Carter spent the night in hospital following the accident, but is “unable to fly while my body recovers.
“We are lucky to be alive and I hope to be well enough to play the rest of the tour.
“Thank you for your understanding and your support.”
Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes are expected to resume touring duties in early October, and the band’s 2020 Australian tour dates are not expected to be affected.
