Gang Of Youths have announced that Tamworth-bred singer-songwriter Charlie Collins will be supporting them on their upcoming (and HUGE) ‘Say Yes To Life’ tour.
Interestingly, Gang Of Youths’ first-ever live show was actually in support of Collins, so the two acts are old friends.
“The very first show Gang Of Youths ever played was in support of one of Charlie’s bands,” says Gang Of Youths frontman Dave Le’aupepe.
“I’ve personally known Charlie since I was 15, and she’s always been a lot better than me. She has seen us grow from shitty 19-year-olds into a working rock band, and in turn, we have seen her develop into one of the most inspired, outstanding and criminally under-appreciated artists this country has ever produced.
“Charlie is almost literally family to us, so we thought it would be fun to take family on the road.”
Collins will be performing as a solo artist throughout the tour, off the back of her recent debut solo single ‘Wish You Were Here’, which you can stream below.
Gang Of Youths’ ‘Say Yes To Life’ tour is almost entirely sold out, with over 33,000 tickets purchased for the run of 20 shows, scheduled between October and November.
