Golden Features Returns With New Single, ‘Touch’

After three years between drinks, Golden Features has made a more-than-welcome return with his latest single, ‘Touch’. ‘Touch’ is a slick piece of work from the Sydney producer, delivering more of the deep-house vibes for which he is known. The track is a concoction of welcoming synths and irresistible grooves.

‘Touch’ is a collaboration with Melbourne vocalist Rromarin, who’s known for her work as part of Kult Kyss and for previously appearing on Golden Features’ 2018 single, ‘Woodcut’. The track is a confident return after a few years in the wilderness for the Sydney producer.

Golden Features – ‘Touch’

“‘Touch’ is a song that is very special to me,” Golden Features said in a statement. “It’s a song about the feeling after the rave. At the kick-on laying with your head in somebody’s lap, smoking a cigarette, listening to the birds wake up and praying the sun won’t rise”

‘Touch’ is the first new solo single from Golden Features since his 2018 debut album, Sect. The following year, he teamed up with Sydney dance icons The Presets on a collaborative EP dubbed Raka. Early 2020 saw him unite with American DJs Odesza to form the group BRONSON.

As a recent post on Instagram explained, Golden Features spent much of the last two years living in Berlin. He said he experienced “a massive creative burnout,” which resulted in a lack of love for the electronic music he was making. Ultimately, it appears as though these recent years have served him well, with ‘Touch’ ushering in a new era for the artist.

“For the first time in years I feel like this music is an exact reflection of who I am and not of the person I want you to think I am,” he wrote to fans. “I made myself a promise to follow my gut and I truly can’t wait to show you.”
