Greg Page Opens Up About Loneliness and Health Struggles During Time with The Wiggles

Greg Page, former member of the iconic children’s group The Wiggles, has shared his experiences of intense loneliness during his time with the band. In an interview with the Herald Sun, Page revealed that he lived in constant fear of judgment before leaving the group in 2006.

“I probably, in a way, helped create my own lonely environment by not dealing with the issues I had,” Page admitted. He disclosed that his struggle with orthostatic intolerance—a condition that causes fatigue and balance issues—significantly contributed to his feelings of isolation.

Peeling back the layers, Greg Page gets real about his journey.

Page was compelled to withdraw from The Wiggles’ 2006 US tour after experiencing frequent fainting spells, slurred speech, fatigue, and trembling. Diagnosed with dysautonomia, a challenging chronic illness, he chose to step away from the group, making way for Sam Moran.

After rejoining The Wiggles in 2012, Page faced another life-threatening moment in 2020 during a reunion concert. He suffered a near-fatal heart attack on stage. Thanks to a young off-duty nurse in the audience who located a defibrillator and administered aid until an ambulance arrived, Page was resuscitated. Reflecting on the incident, he expressed immense gratitude: “The fact that those people stepped up to have a go at saving a life, I am so grateful. Had they not stepped in, I would be dead.”
