Halsey Announces New Album, Produced By Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross

Halsey might have a baby on the way, but she’s also ready to deliver fans another gift of her creation – her fourth studio album If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power.

We know little about the album beyond its title, not including one very special bit of information: it’s being produced by the dream team of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power will be Halsey’s second album in as many years, as she dropped Manic at the very beginning of 2020.

Given Reznor and Ross are helming the album’s production duties, the new album will likely signal a different sound than we’ve come to expect from the superstar. And fans are READY.

It’s already been a huge year for both Reznor and Ross, as they both took home an Academy Award (Oscar) for Best Original Score back in March for their work on the Pixar film Soul.

As for Reznor’s own music, Nine Inch Nails released two instrumental albums last year, Ghosts V: Together and Ghosts VI: Locusts.

However, Reznor gave confirmation on plans for new NIN music while speaking at the Academy Awards. He said, “What we’ve tried to do… is break it up where we do some rock music, we come back and do some film work (and so on).

“We’ve just done three pretty big films in WatchmenMank, and Soul in a row. We should be on tour but COVID has prevented that. We are planning on working on Nine Inch Nails material as soon as, probably tomorrow.”

Reznor said “probably tomorrow” back in April, so we might just get new Nine Inch Nails music sooner rather than later.
