Hands Like Houses Have Downsized, And Joined The Massive Download Festival Lineup

ACT experimental rockers Hands Like Houses are continuing to kill it overseas. After being announced in the recent wave of lineup inclusions for the coveted Vans Warped Tour of the US, the band has now been added to the monster bill for the UK’s Download Festival 2015.

“Absolutely thrilled to announce we’ll be playing one of the biggest rock festivals in the world this June,” the group told followers on Facebook. “See you there!”

The sad news? They’ll be storming the UK stage as a fivesome. Band management have confirmed to Music Feeds that keyboardist Jamal Sabet recently left the band, rather quietly, to pursue other endeavours.

Their name was announced alongside the latest list of inclusions alongside 22 other new artists, including Andrew W.K, In Flames, Testament, We Are Harlot, L7, Hellyeah, All That Remains, Fearless Vampire Killers, Ace Frehley, Tremonti, Black Star Riders, Thunder, The Ghost Inside, King 810, Defeater, Chelsea Grin, Evil Scarecrow, Bombus, Gnarwolves, Stray From The Path, Creeper and Blood Youth.

The new additions join festival headliners Slipknot, Muse, and Kiss, as well as Soundwave 2015 acts Faith No More, Judas Priest, A Day To Remember, Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, and Marilyn Manson on the Download 2015 lineup.

Hands Like Houses stand alongside two other juggernaut riff-crushers repping for the Aussies on this year’s Download bill. Northlane and Parkway Drive were both announced for the festival late last year.

The Canberra lads aren’t doing so bad on home turf either, having just been announced to support UK progressive hardcore heavyweights and fellow Download bill-gracers Enter Shikari on their upcoming Australian tour this May.
