After teasing the song earlier this week, Jessica Mauboy has finally released the uplifting ‘We Got Love’, Australia’s entry into the 2018 Eurovision songwriting contest.
Of the song, Mauboy says “‘We Got Love’ is also about how music can lift the human spirit. You can always rise above in the hardest times with something as simple as a great song.”
Mauboy’s participation in this year’s Eurovision, which will be held in Portugal, marks the fourth year we’ve competed in the contest since Australia was first granted entry in 2015, but it’s not the first time Mauboy has performed there. She was invited for a one-off performance in 2014 of her track ‘Sea Of Flags’.
Australia’s track record with Eurovision is pretty fantastic, as we’ve consistently finished in the top 10 every single year we’ve competed, with Dami Im earning herself second place back in 2016.
Eurovision is set to kick off in Lisbon, Portugal on 8th May 2018. Watch the stunning clip for ‘We Got Love’ below.
