Peking Duk have dropped their first single of the year, and unsurprisingly, it’s a mega-banger.
It’s called Stranger, and it features the slinky vocal work of Swedish singer Elliphant.
The Duk premiered the song on triple j yesterday afternoon, telling triple j‘s Veronica and Lewis that they first met Elliphant at a DJ Snake party, as you do, and hit it off straight away.
Elliphant is one of the biggest collaborators in dance music right now. She’s worked with Major Lazer, Skrillex and MØ, but it makes sense for her to hook up with our biggest Aussie dance duo, given how loved she is here in Australia.
After playing Falls Festival and Splendour In The Grass, she’s returning to play Newcastle’s This That festival, and just quietly, we feel an onstage collab coming on given that Peking Duk are also playing.
We’re still not sure when to expect Peking Duk’s debut album, but Stranger should be enough to get you through the summer.
