Sigur Ros‘ Jónsi has teamed up with Robyn for a Scandinavian collaboration of epic proportions today, with the release of their new single ‘Salt Licorice’.
The song, produced by PC Music’s A.G. Cook, marks the final single Jónsi is releasing prior to the release of his forthcoming second solo album Shiver, his first in a decade.
“Salt Licorice’ is such a cute and perfect pop song,” Robyn said in a press statement.
“It makes me want to dance violently and make out at the same time. It was a no-brainer to say yes to singing it with Jónsi.
“The pretty emails I get with a thousand emojis in them from him is a bonus that came with our collaboration as well!”
‘Salt Licorice’ is the fourth cut we’ve heard from Shiver, following the release of ‘Exhale’, ‘Swill’ and ‘Cannibal’.
Shiver is out Friday, 2nd October.
