Here’s Your Splendour In The Grass 2018 Weather Forecast

Splendour In The Grass 2018 is just around the corner, and the weather is looking pretty. damn. fine.

The annual Byron Bay event will return to North Byron Parklands between Friday, 20th and Sunday, 22nd July, with thousands of people expected to witness sets from the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Lorde and Vampire Weekend.

Now that the official set times have been announced and the final lineup changes are in order, it’s time to check in with the Bureau of Meteorology to see what weather conditions punters are in for.

It looks like we’re in for a mostly sunny three days, with a slight chance of a shower on Friday, but mostly clear conditions on Saturday and Sunday.

Temperatures during the day are hovering around the 20°C mark, but they’re getting down to less than 10°C at night, so make sure you’ve got plenty of warm clothes/blankets/vibes if you’re camping.

If you’re attending Splendour this year, take note that police have warned festival-goers that a sniffer dog operation will be in affect this weekend.

If you’re not heading to Splendour this year, triple j has just revealed which 48 Splendour sets it will be broadcasting live throughout the weekend, so that you can fight the FOMO (a little bit).

Earlier this week, Splendour also announced it is phasing out single use plastic water bottles and plastic straws. Plastic straws will be banned in all bars and stalls at this year’s event, and the festival’s previous ban on stainless steel water bottles has also been lifted.
