Earlier this month it was announced that live music show The Set will be returning to ABC later this year, and today they’ve announced the lineup of talent that you’ll be seeing on your TV screens throughout August and September 2019.
The list of artists performing live in front of an audience on the program includes Amy Shark, Thelma Plum, Illy, Middle Kids, Boy & Bear and Dune Rats just to name a few, for what looks to be an impressive return to the screen for the program.
The show’s first season premiered last year, and featured performances from the likes of The Presets, Vera Blue, Baker Boy, Wafia and more in front of a live audience of 250 people in a “purpose-built share house set”.
The Set‘s second season will be co-hosted again by triple j’s Linda Marigliano and Logie Award winner Dylan Alcott.
“I am absolutely stoked for Season 2 of The Set and can’t wait to work on the show with my great friend Linda Marigliano,” says Alcott about the show’s return. “Everyone associated with this show is passionate about live music and entertainment on Australian television and wants to provide a platform to promote the very best current and emerging music talent.”
Marigliano added “Dylan and I couldn’t believe it when our TV parents said we could throw another house party, and not only that, we’re throwing a bunch! This show is a dream to work on, the mixture of charisma and chaos between artists and audience is pure gold. We cannot wait.”
You’ll be able to catch The Set on ABC from 10pm Wednesday, 28th August to Wednesday, 18th September – and then again from 9:30pm every Wednesday until the 9th of October. You’ll also be able to re-watch it on iview.
