What’s the one thing better than sitting back and chilling out to some stellar live music? Sitting back and chilling out to some stellar live music whilst enjoying copious amounts of cheese. Sydney venue Since I Left You (SILY) have cottoned on to this realisation and they’re offering up just that combo this weekend.
Their monthly live music SILY sessions are back for another round this Saturday, September 9th and this time they’re taking on a soulful, R’n’B flavour. The venue’s intimate stage will be headed up by local songwriter and saxophonist (!) VULI – he of afro-electronic band True Vibenation – as well as rising R’n’B star Lara Andallo. The flavour of the event will be intensified by SILY’s renown complimentary antipasti table because, as previously mentioned, everything is better with cheese.
So that’s soulful live music, antipasti, and sax. What a combo.
Held each month, Since I Left You’s SILY sessions aim to showcase a whole host of talented local artists across multiple genres. Set within the venue’s heritage-listed courtyard, hidden within Sydney’s CBD, the SILY stage is like a secret, creative oasis and a pleasant surprise in a city trying defiantly to reclaim its nightlife.
Tickets for this weekend’s SILY session, kicking off at 2pm this Saturday, are on sale right now. Capacity is limited so you best get on that. The cheese isn’t going to eat itself.
