Holy Holy Announce 2025 Farewell Tour Ahead Of Hiatus

Holy Holy have announced that they will be undertaking an indefinite hiatus from mid-2025 onwards, following a final run of Australian shows between May and June. The hiatus comes with news that the band’s two core members, lead singer Timothy Carroll and guitarist/producer Oscar Dawson, are relocating to Sweden and London respectively with their families. “For now, having a break and getting lost in other projects is what feels right,” the band wrote. “We’re not sure what comes next, but we’ll always love the times we had in Holy Holy.”

“Being in Holy Holy has been one of the greatest honours of my life,” said Carroll in a press statement announcing both the hiatus and the final run of shows for the band. “The memories we made, and the songs we wrote, will stay with me forever. I’m so grateful to our team, our collaborators and most of all our audience for how much they have given us.”

Dawson, for his part, added: “We’ve booked a run of shows at some of our favourite venues across the country, and we can’t wait to share these songs with our fans one more time. We’ve always loved playing live, hanging out with the support bands, and meeting the crowd after the shows to hear their stories. This is going to be a special run.”

They released five studio albums across their 14-year run, with their last two – 2021’s Hello My Beautiful World and 2023’s Cellophane – both peaking at number 4 on the ARIA Albums Chart. Their 2017 single ‘True Lovers’ has also been certified double Platinum by ARIA, while a further four singles of theirs have been certified Gold: ‘Sentimental And Monday’, ‘That Message’, ‘Teach Me About Dying’ and ‘Maybe You Know’.
