Yewwwwwwww, revivified Melbourne post-hardcore outfit House Vs. Hurricane are back at full strength with a bunch of new shit in the pipeline, including a brand new album hilariously dubbed Filth.
Their first disc since 2012’s Crooked Teeth is set to be flung in our general direction on Friday, 2nd June, and to toast its imminent squelch, the lads have also hurled its first single ‘Give It Up’ our way.
The tune, described by original guitarist Chris Shaw as “Crooked Teeth on crack”, is packing an equally dirty live music video filmed during their sweat-sprinkler of a set at UNIFY 2017 earlier this year, which marked their first gig in four years.
Apparently they had such a blast at the Victorian bash that it inspired them to amp things up again on the band front.
“We got asked to play Unify, and that was a really special show for us, it inspired all the guys to jump back on stage again,” says Shaw.
“After House vs. Hurricane I was the only one that continued playing music, so the guys missed performing. I wouldn’t say we are back per se, but we just have the intention of releasing music when we can and playing a few shows every now and then. Three of the guys are married with kids, so it’s definitely not an easy task to line up our schedules for touring or shows.”
House Vs. Hurricane went on hiatus in 2013, after dropping a free farewell track. Catch the crew’s official album artwork, track listing and video for new single ‘Give It Up’ below.
