James Holden Australian Tour Announced

James Holden has announced a short run of headline performances while in the country for the Meredith and Subsonic music festivals. The acclaimed producer, DJ, and label owner will make his Australian return to capitalise on the buzz generated by his set at Let Them Eat Cake 2014.

After distinguishing himself as a unique creative force among an increasingly conformist crop of electronic producers with 2006’s acclaimed The Idiots Are Winning, Holden’s latest, The Inheritors, could prove to be the UK electronic visionary’s boldest and most accomplished effort to date.

Holden’s upcoming shows will see him stepping away from the decks to venture further into the world of live performance, having taken his first steps at the behest of Caribou‘s Dan Snaith. His stellar live shows saw Thom Yorke invite Holden to support the Atoms for Peace 2013 US tour.

This will be the first time that Australians get to experience James Holden as a live performer, an experience sure to be as singular, explorative, psychedelic, and often mind-boggling as his studio output. Readers can check below for all of Holden’s upcoming dates and ticketing details.
