Ja’mie King Releases Debut Single ‘Learning To Be Me’

It was only a matter of time until the inimitable and immensely talented Ja’mie King — one of the many vessels for comedian Chris Lilley — took her bid for world domination to the pop charts. Now Australia’s favourite catty private schoolgirl has released her debut single, Learning To Be Me.

The touching ballad, which continues a pop legacy set by similar tributes to self-preservation such as Whitney Houston‘s Greatest Love of All, was first performed on King’s hit series Ja’mie King: Private School Girl as part of her end-of-year recital.

King was first introduced to the nation as part of Lilley’s first series We Can Be Heroes. The current series has been a huge success for the ABC, with the show airing simultaneously in the US on HBO and in the UK on BBC. Learning To Be Me is currently available on iTunes.
