Jared Leto & His Green Meme Jacket Immortalised In Melbourne Mural

Thirty Seconds To Mars frontman Jared Leto and his meme-spiring green Gucci jacket have been immortalised in a new Melbourne mural created by the artist known as Lushsux.

Lushsux’s Leto mural, which you can check out in full below, sits at 3 Florence Street, Brunswick, according to Outlook Property Group. It portrays Leto dressed in the green Gucci jacket he recently wore to the London premiere of Suicide Squad, which led to a bunch of amazing memes along the lines of this one…

Despite inspiring a wave green jacket memes, Leto recently explained to Vanity Fair why his face was so lit up in that runway photo, and killed everyone’s meme-boners in the process.

“The thing about the photo is — I’m going to be honest with you — I was actually making a face at someone across the runway,” he said. “I have that feeling with most things [Gucci] makes because they make such beautiful things. But I was actually goofing off with a friend, and you can’t actually tell from the picture.”

Lushsux’s Leto mural comes after the artist unveiled an ‘R.I.P. Taylor Swift’ mural in Melbourne in July, which was swiftly painted over with depictions of the dead gorilla-cum-meme Harambe and later Swift’s supposed nemesis, Kanye West.

Meanwhile, Thirty Seconds To Mars are preparing to return with a new album, which is expected to drop in 2017, so let’s just hope Lushsux’s new mural sticks around until then.
