Jay-Z‘s ongoing war with streaming services has been infamously long-winded but now, in celebration of the legend’s 50th birthday, he has finally caved and released his entire back catalogue on Spotify.
He had made all of his albums exclusive to TIDAL when he launched the streaming service a few years ago, and has slowly been trickling out his albums to various platforms – like Apple Music back in 2017.
In April of the same year, the vast majority of his albums were removed from Spotify per his request.
This move follows the move made by his wife, Beyoncé, who finally put her 2016 masterpiece Lemonade on streaming services after years of begging by her devoted fans.
