Jebediah Announce 30th Anniversary Australian Tour

Aussie alt-rock legends Jebediah are ~leaving home~ this October, hitting the road to celebrate three bloody decades of music, mischief, and mayhem.

Yep, it’s been 30 years since the Perth-born four-piece first burst onto the scene with their 1996 Twitch EP, and from Slightly Odway to Oiks, they’ve soundtracked everything from high school heartbreaks to road trips to reunions. And now, they’re throwing a big ol’ retrospective tour to mark the big 3-0.

Jebediah – ‘Leaving Home’

But this isn’t your average “here’s all the singles again” kinda tour. Nope – the Jebs are digging deep into the vault to serve up a setlist full of surprises. We’re talking underrated gems, long-lost B-sides, and cult faves that haven’t seen the light of day in years. Or, as frontman Kevin Mitchell tells Double J: “Hopefully the set will be different to anything we’ve done before… more of a deeper cross section of our history that represents a bit of everything.”

As if that wasn’t enough to get you flailing your flanno, the band will also be reissuing their first three classic albums on limited edition coloured vinyl, and unleashing a treasure trove of rare demos and unreleased goodies onto streaming for the first time ever.

Oh, and there’s also whispers of a Jebediah doco in the works (!!!)

The tour kicks off this October and will hit most major Aussie cities – Kaurna Country/Adelaide, Palawa Country/Hobart, Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung Country/Melbourne, Turrbal and Jagera Country/Brisbane, Gadigal Country/Sydney and Ngunnawal Country/Canberra before wrapping up with a double header in their hometown of Whadjuk Noongar Country/Perth.

“To celebrate the fact that it’s been thirty years since our little band formed back in 1995, Jebs are throwing a 30th birthday party and you are all invited!” the band posted on socials. “Jebediah became a band in the first place to play gigs so we are heading out on the road this October for our 30 Odyears Anniversary Tour.”
