Tonight Alive icon Jenna McDougall has got to be one of the busiest people in music right now. Not only is she about to head off overseas with her empowering femme-rock solo project Hevenshe for a string of shows and festival dates, before returning home to play a huge string of gigs supporting The Used as well as an already sold-out reunion show in Melbourne with Tonight Alive, she’s also fresh from taking the stage at the Sydney Opera House, where she joined Parkway Drive and a full symphony orchestra on Sunday night to perform their 2016 collab ‘The Deathless Song’ live together for the very first time.
Not to mention she’s just released brand new solo music. Hevenshe’s triumphant new single ‘Floor Bed’ arrived just last week, a beautifully grungy rock anthem that sees the scene icon fearlessly celebrate her queer sexuality publicly for the very first time.

In the midst of it all, Jenna has also somehow found the time to curate her own very special live music event in Sydney, celebrating the local LGBTQI+ community and some of the talented artists within it.
Hevenshe’s ‘Celebration of Femmes and Thems’ event will take place at Newtown’s The Vanguard next Friday, 20th June, with the artist headlining a diverse lineup of women, queers and gender diverse entertainers from all corners of the arts.
The eclectic evening will feature a mystifying pole dance routine from Oryx, the burlesque comedy brilliance of Demon Derriere, a routine from queer community line dance instructors Saddle Club and some euphoric genre-bending live mixes from DJ Waisze.
So if you fancy basking in an array of queer talent and pure joy, or just want to seize a rare opportunity to catch Hevenshe live in an intimate setting, you can peep those ticketing details down below.
