Scissor Sisters’ Jake Shears has had his dream of working with Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme come true, though it’s not the collaboration you might think. Homme has appeared in an info-mercial plugging Scissor Sisters latest album Magic Hour.
In an interview with The Daily Star, Shears confessed: “It’d be a dream collaboration, because I’m a huge fan. I really, really want to sing on the next Queens of the Stone Age album. I’m desperate for it”.
Homme informs potential buyers that Magic Hour “promises to get you on the dance floor, and keep you there forever”. He offers the album to fans for three easy payments of “$19.99.9” and promises that “if after 28 days you’re not completely satisfied, I guarantee you your money back…or your money back”.
“They have an irresistible groove, catchy melodies and a fantastically outlandish…lyricscapes.” Furthermore, Homme explains that the album will make you and your partner “fall in love again, over again”.
I’ll stop quoting it now and let you check it out for yourself; though be warned, the awkward script, mispronounced words and terrible footage will actually get you keen to purchase the album. Happy viewing!
